The occupational health and safety management system. (ISO 45001) is integrated into PARAT Halvorsen's existing quality management system (ISO 9001) and environmental management (ISO14001).
ISO 45001 has a risk-based approach that ensures that the occupational health and safety management system is appropriate and efficient, and that the system is continuously improved.
The new standard for occupational health and safety includes the following topics:
- Identify internal and external conditions that affect the working environment
- Risk assessments
- Describe policies and goals for occupational health and safety
- Determining which processes are necessary for the occupational health and safety system and how these can work together
- Planning and implementation of measures, and evaluation of these
A certification of the occupational health and safety management system according to ISO 45001 strengthens PARAT Halvorsen's profiling towards international customers, as such certification is increasingly becoming a requirement for delivering goods and services to major players in the international market.
